Enough talk, it’s time to act Minster Hunt.

Following a huge public outcry via YHYC before the 2019 Federal election, Minister Hunt commissioned a new ‘review update’ of 16 natural therapies to assess which therapies would be eligible to again attract rebates.

The review was scheduled for completion by 2020, but instead it has become buried in red tape and won’t be finished for years – if ever. Even then, there’s no guarantee rebates will be restored for all, if any, natural therapies. The Government is hoping no-one’s noticed.

Minister Hunt has already set a precedent by allowing Massage and Myotherapy to keep attracting rebates, despite the previous 2015 government review reporting there was ‘no conclusive evidence’. The public and private health insurers are now asking the Government to restore a level playing field across all natural therapies.

With a Federal election just around the corner and the Government lagging in the polls, NOW is the time to have your say and ask Greg Hunt MP and your Federal MPs to restore rebates for natural therapies.

It’s what the community and private insurers want. Tell the Government to stop interfering!
