Your Stories: A focus on wellbeing gives NSW woman amazing results

“How is it that people in positions of power can’t (or won’t) acknowledge the positive physical and emotional changes natural therapies can create for people and the cost-effectiveness of these practices?”

Thank you for the opportunity to share my story, because it might help others and positively influence decision-makers to maintain complementary/natural medicine rebates.

My journey from debilitating mental and physical ill-health to wellbeing is remarkable, due to the ongoing education and support I receive from natural health practitioners. Many of whom, dedicate their lives to ‘best practice’ with years of study, including Doctoral recognition.

With the help of these health professionals, my journey has been one away from feelings of hopeless, exceptional embarrassment, having severe bouts of depression, and living in an extreme state of heightened anxiety.

I was able to achieve these results because the therapists I choose to consult provide regimes that reclaim and sustain wellbeing as well as promote self-management of wellbeing.

My choice to consult highly-qualified, quality complementary health practitioners is known and respectfully supported by my medical practitioners, because they’ve witnessed the remarkable, literally live-saving results.

How is it that people in positions of power can’t (or won’t) acknowledge the positive physical and emotional changes natural therapies can create for people and the cost-effectiveness of these practices?

Why not heighten ethical regulation of all medically-related practices and respect the dedication complementary/natural practitioners have towards providing wellbeing for their patients?

Thank you to the entirely ethical, dedicated complementary practitioners who continue to help me live a life that’s healthy in the richness of continued learning and management of my wellbeing.

Karelynne, NSW.
