The safety and quality of your vitamins and minerals, aromatherapy and homeopathic products are at risk.

Right now, behind closed doors in Canberra, the Therapeutic Goods Administration is deciding on drastic changes to legislation that would mean the TGA is no longer responsible for overseeing the safety and quality checks on complementary medicines you and your family use to support your health.

The Your Health Your Choice campaign wants to safeguard your health and wants the TGA to maintain regulatory control of vitamins and minerals, aromatherapy and homeopathic products as therapeutic goods.

What’s at risk:

Public safety is at risk. The TGA currently regulates and safeguards the quality of vitamins, minerals, aromatherapy and homeopathic medicines. TGA now proposes to shift the responsibility for these products to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) – an agency with no experience or expertise in regulating medicines.

What can you do:

Tell authorities you want the TGA to continue regulating vitamins and minerals, aromatherapy and homeopathic medicines – to ensure their quality and safeguard your health.

Your Health Your Choice is polling people who have so far joined the campaign. The poll results will be sent to the TGA and the Federal Health Minister.

Please watch out for an Important Campaign Information email being sent to your inbox.

Have your say in the poll by checking and taking action in the email that has been sent to you.

If you haven’t already joined the campaign, you can do so now and the poll will be emailed to you.
