CBD for sale over the counter? HAVE YOUR SAY

Would you like the right to buy high quality, low-cost cannabidiol (‘CBD’) over-the-counter without a prescription?

You have until this Friday 22 May 2020 to respond. We have made it easy for you to have your say
The TGA is asking the public, after pressure from a recent Senate inquiry and patient groups. But the TGA wants to restrict access to CBD so it is only available after consulting a pharmacist. It could also not be sold until ‘proven’ for a health claim at a low dose, which may not happen for years. If it is approved for “Irritable Bowel Syndrome” (for example), your pharmacist would not sell it to you for “pain”.
In practice, this means CBD would remain highly restricted, difficult to get and higher cost.
There are other options on the table for Australians to access low-dose, low-cost, high-quality, safe CBD products in stores for managing minor health issues. It is now up to people-power.
If this issue matters to you or your loved ones have your say by this Friday 22 May.
